Newsletter - October 2026
Dear friends,
Over the past months, Il Gardellino has taken on a new face. Our new website is now online, together with a refreshed logo and a new visual identity. The website will also continue to grow in content: in the coming months, we will gradually add new stories, projects, recordings and concerts.
Meanwhile, there is a great deal of music ahead. On 18 October, we bring Tafelmusik twice, in Duffel and Oudenaarde.
In November, Jan De Winne travels to Kyiv to perform flute quartets by Mozart and his contemporaries together with members of the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra.
The concert takes place on the occasion of Belgian King’s Day and as part of the Kyiv Barokfestival, at the Mykola Lysenko Column Hall of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
In December, we travel to France: in the beautiful Art Nouveau hall of the Opéra de Vichy, Per la Notte di Natale brings Christmas music by Bach and Scarlatti.
On our new website, you will also find a video conversation with Jan De Winne.
He speaks about his work as a flute maker, about the creation and shaping of an orchestra, and about the long musical path that eventually led to Il Gardellino.
Finally, there is our track of the month.
This time, the selection was made by Peter Van Heyghen, who highlights a recording from Il Gardellino’s repertoire.
We hope you enjoy reading and listening,
Il Gardellino
